My usual charge for a wedding, partnership or vow renewal in 2026-27 is £650, including all travel and expenses. After many years of staying the same, for ceremonies taking place on or after 1st January 2028 my normal charge will be £725.

If your ceremony is in the York area and easy enough to get to, that will be the price.

I occasionally add a bit more if it’s going to be difficult to get to – perhaps because it’s further away, or perhaps because timing or logistics mean I’ll need to stay overnight nearby. But if you let me know the venue, I’ll work that out and give you a figure straight away. Again, I’ll never surprise you later with extra costs.

I ask for a £150 deposit when we agree to work together, and I’ll ask for the rest to be paid just at some point before the day itself. (Don’t worry – I won’t refuse to turn up if you forget! It’s just a bit of an anticlimax to be dealing with money after the event, that’s all.)
